I have just updated to firefox 8.0 and now every time i start firefox it crashes, i have tryed it in safe mode and it start up but then just hangs and when i click on it it ways the the program is not responding. Can any one help ?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

I can't even run the profile manager. I folowed this here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing-profiles#w_creating-a-profile

I get the instant crash as soon as i hit enter in from the run dialog.

I actually should have replied in another topic. But I upgraded to 8.0 and used it fine for a day or 2. Now I cant even run it in safe mode (by holding shift and clicking on icon)
