I synced my mobile phone to my desktop prior to wiping the desktop drive, now wish to import the bookmarks from the sync to the desktop. I've attempted to "replace all data on the computer with my Sync data" but nothing happens. Please walk me through it.

All the bookmarks remain on my mobile. I can see them and access them. When using the Sync options and clicking done, absolutely nothing happens. The bookmarks are still on my mobile and not transferred to the desktop.

  1. Sync your phone to your desktop (you already did that)
  2. Clean your computer (you already did that)
  3. Follow this steps in the newly installed Firefox https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How%20to%20sync%20Firefox%20settings%20between%20computers?s=sync&r=3&as=s#w_what-if-im-not-near-my-first-computer

That's it, make sure that you have the Firefox Sync Key in order to log in to your Firefox Sync account again. Don't create a new one or if not you will wipe out the data from the server. If you have lost your Sync Key, you can get it from your phone by installing the following add-on in your Android device: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/aboutsynckey/
