Wants to download same file on every startup
Every time I start FF it wants to download the same file (VLC installation). I don't remember if I stopped while downloading it the first time, but I have now downloaded it 6 times.
Next time I start FF it still wants to download it?

Have you cleared it in the download manager? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Downloads%20window?s=download&r=0&e=es&as=s
Yes, I've cleared download manager. I forgot to mention I have Download Statusbar 0.9.10 installed , but I've tried disable it and the problem is still there.
Try to delete your downloads.sqlite in your profile folder. Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data
Make sure that you haven't set the download page as a home page.
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/How+to+set+the+home+page - Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' symbols
It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
