Google is blaming this on Yontoo or some other ad program, but I've uninstalled everything and run 2 different malware programs and 2 antiviruses, and I still can't get rid of it.

What happens is that when I search on Google through Firefox, a delayed ad pops up at the top of the page, just as I'm about to click on the first entry, forcing me to click on the ad instead. This doesn't happen with Iron or IE, just FF. The ads say "Ad not by Google" on the right side.

I'm pretty much ready to kick Firefox to the curb for all but one job where I have to use it, because I use search a lot, and I can't be sitting here waiting for that ad to load every time. I'm not the only person that happens to either. Others have been complaining about it on the Google forums, but they keep deleting the posts.

If this is something FF is doing, please stop. It's most annoying.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

Thanks! Clearing the network cache seemed to take care of it, but we'll see. When I uninstalled Yontoo, that stopped it for about a day, then it started back. Meanwhile, I'm still running scans, but nothing found so far.

By process of elimination, I determined that it was appearing due to add-on "IE Tab Plus", version 2.0.0.0. I almost never use it, so I'll just run IE directly when I need it.
