in order to restore the new tab page manually enter "about:config" into the adress bar, search for the "browser.newtab.url" setting & right-click it in order to reset it to the default value ("about:newtab").

If you still have Personas Interactive installed, you can go into the preferences and just uncheck the box on the Search page that says "Use WebSearch+ on new tab page"

You can access these preferences by clicking on the lightning bolt on the lower left on the add-on bar and selecting Preferences.

If you don't have Personas Interactive or any Brand Thunder theme installed, but you are still seeing the new tab page, I apologize for that. It was an uninstall bug that is fixed on our latest version.

We created a restartless add-on that you can install that fixes the problem. It installs, fixes the problem, then uninstalls:

If you would like to do this yourself, you can type about:config in the browser, search on browser.newtab.url in the Filter box and then right click on the preference and click reset.
