FF 14.0.1 setup file is corrupt and won't open, even tho Norton says it's ok.

I downloaded the FF update from mozilla.org to my desktop even though it says it's a binary file with an unknown publisher. When done, I clicked on it and a window came up to ask if I was sure I wanted to open it because the security certificate showed it came from an unknown publisher.

So, I closed the window without running it and intended to scan with Norton Internet Security, but when I right clicked on it, a Norton window came up to say 14.0.1 setup.exe was ok.

When I clicked on setup again to run it, a small window came up saying the file was corrupt and prevented me from opening it. I then deleted the file.

FF was working fine before the update. My OS is Win XP Please advise. Thanks, Lynn

The information about unknown publisher is ok, and can be safely ignored.

It is possible that Norton corrupted your exe, so I would try to redownload it, and install (don't bother with Norton).
