I "had" FF12 and norton update somehow killed my norton toolbar. Since then, it's been almost three hours with norton tech remotely connected to me, uninstalling and reinstalling norton and FF. Rebooted about 25 times and used norton live update probably 50 times. Tried FF12, FF13 and FF14. Nothing worked, and now Java is disabled. Going in a circle;

Oddly enough, I can't find out from norton what is their latest V, and since the norton toolbar is popular, hoped someone here might know. thanks

Basically, Norton Toolbar doesn't support any version of Firefox older than 13. What you should be doing is this: Use Firefox 15 (www.getfirefox.com) Then, after that, update your Norton and your toolbar should work.

Just as a side note, most the features from norton toolbar are built into Firefox by default, so you don't even really need to use it.
