Firefox 15.0.1 Some sites are automatically reloading even though I have checked the "Warn me" box under the Options tab.

I have checked the "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page" box. It works for most sites, but I have noticed that several sites are still able to automatically reload. This is very annoying! Any suggestions? I noticed this with earlier versions of Firefox, but never complained before.

You were lucky if that has worked.
Such a reload is usually done via JavaScript or via a meta tag (http-equiv="refresh").

The setting in "Tools > Options > Advanced > General" is meant as an accessibility feature, as you can see by the label of that section, so that people with disabilities or people who use screen readers do not get confused and is not meant as a safety protection to stop redirecting or reloading.

I understand. That only answers the "Why." Fortunately, after a lot more searching, I found out about using Greasemonkey. With the correct script, you can prevent this "problem" for a web site.
