Website doesn't load after typing in the address and pressing return key

I just downloaded and installed Firefox for a second time. The first time I imported my settings from IE. The second time I did not import the settings. Both times, after I type in an address in the location bar and press the enter key nothing happens. I even tried the about:config and nothing happens.

If you are in a business network environment:

Firefox 20.0 has a problem with configurations where your Windows profile is stored on a server using a UNC path (e.g., \\userdata\greg). There is not currently a solution for this. One workaround might be to choose a local folder for your personal Firefox settings, but that might not be allowed by your IT. Although it is less secure, if you urgently need Firefox, you could install Firefox 19.0.2. This article has a link under "I still want to downgrade": Install an older version of Firefox.

If you are in a home environment or your settings folder is local, then please ignore the above.
