How do I get rid of "About Blank" which appears whenever I press a tab on Firefox?
For some unknown reason I now have an "about Blank" program opening with ads whenever I press a Firefox tab even when I am in my e-mail program. I don't know where it came from or how to get rid of it.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
