Why won't my Tab Bar with the thumbnails stay open on my tablet anymore? This happened after my recent update to Firefox, v. 23 for Android. Is it a bug?

I use a Motorola Xoom tablet (10.1") with Android 4.1.2. Today at the Google Play Store I updated to Firefox v. 23 and immediately had a problem: The Firefox tab bar, which runs along the left side of my screen, top to bottom, isn't working right anymore. Here's what's happening: √ The tab bar no longer STAYS OPEN to show all the thumbnails. Instead, whatever tab I've selected takes up the whole screen. All the other tabs/thumbnails are hidden. √ If I click on the Tabs Number at the top left, the tab bar will open temporarily and display the thumbnails. However, as soon as I select a new tab, or just tap in the current one, the tab bar closes up again.

Is this a new feature that's supposed to help me - OR is it some sort of bug? Is there a way I can fix it, i.e., so I can make the tab bar & thumbnails visible again?

As far as a remedy, is there any way where I could uninstall just the update and go back to my prior version of Firefox? (FYI, I would hate to have to uninstall the whole Firefox program, because I don't want to lose all my bookmarks etc. Also, I don't use a PC, so I don't have my Firefox data synced elsewhere.)

I've been a fan of Firefox for years. I sure hope this problem can be resolved!

hello, i think that this was an intentional change to have more space for website content - i don't know a way around that unfortunately...
