If you have to ask what Dish Anywhere is, I doubt you would be able to help. We subscribe to Dish Network at home and they have a box to install on the cable box itself that allows you to get Dish Network on any device...cell phone...notebook/tablet...etc. It works on all devices except notebook which has Firefox as default browser. Now, mind you, on the same notebook, Dish Anywhere does work with Internet Explorer, but I HATE Internet Explorer....so...hence the question about why doesn't it work with Firefox? It's obviously a Firefox issue.

My exact problem is after I hit "Accept" in the process of setting it up, it downloads all but the last 5% of whatever it is I need.

PS...on this notebook, I am running Windows 8.1

PSS...Firefox IS updated...it updates itself...hence..that's probably why I am having the problem in the first place. I have read some responses to similar problems and folks talked about reverting back to Firefox 20 and problem was resolved, but if Firefox continues with it's own updates...it won't be resolved for long plus does one really want to resort to earlier versions and be subject to the security issues?

I haven't used the dish so i am not sure what is happening, that is why i pointed you to the another discussion that happened in the same topic.

By the you are using FF23, we have FF24 and FF25 beta can you try upgrading to FF24 and see this is happening or not.

I will let some one who has experience in this to help you out.

Sorry man FF -> Firefox.

Try to upgrade to Firefox 24, the latest one.

With ff24 Firefox 24, the current Firefox release, is meant.

The current Firefox release is Firefox 24.0.
You appear to still have Firefox 23 according to the System Details List.
