Firefox 28 OS X 10.9.2 I download a particular file type from three or four different sources and would like Firefox to automatically open an application when it does so. The file extension is qfx; the application is Quicken Essentials: application/vnd.intu.qfx application/x-qfx Firefox will not save my selection. Whenever Firefox is quit and relaunched, it asks me again what I'd like to do with this file type. I have checked the box "do this automatically for files like this from now on". When I review the Applications Preference for the file qfx type I see it's saved - it just doesn't work. How may I fix this?
