Over the last couple of days I have noticed that when I navigate away from a video on youtube or stop listening to streaming music, sometimes the content continues to stream in the background. This is especially a problem with videos as it can take up a lot of bandwidth. The streaming continues even if I close Firefox. I have made sure that Firefox is not still running in Task manager. The only solution is to disable then enable the internet connection. Could this still be a Firefox problem or something with windows? Any solutions?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode
While you are in safe mode;
Firefox Options > Advanced > General.
Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration. After, go to a safe web site. Start, and after a bit, stop a video / audio or close that window. If the problem continues, in safe mode, let us know. If not, restart Firefox. If there is still a problem, then it may be an add-on.
