the question says it but you have 3 windows viewing email info, the message list on top, the middle bar with header message info then the lower showing the intended message selected. There used to be a tick point to minimize this bar drastically but it is missing. I saw the option to make this bar normal or full...NOOOOOOoooooo too big either way, bring back the minimize tick or button.

That fixed it, but It shouldn't have been like this, the feature was removed. thanx for the plugin, now Mozilla folks....ermmm hmm hmmm nudge...

This has never been standard on any Thunderbird version that I have ever used. It always required the add on. If you are happy with the answer, please mark the thread closed.
