When I go through the procedure to insert an image in my personal email it works. So I know how to do it. BUT When I try to insert an image in my newsgroup email it will not insert...just lines of square there with no image but a little white icon of some kind in the left hand corner

Also, I cannot figure out how to use the background image feature which I would like to do.

Thanks for any help Nan Martin jwmartin2@sbcglobal.net

some newsgroups and NNTP server are text only. As inserting an image requires HTML. Arte you sure the group or server supports HTML.

Good Morning, Yes, I am absolutely certain it is HTML......we are a stationery group using Visual Basic Scripts and HTML. However.....I would settle right now with just being able to insert an image and maybe a background on occasion.

Any help appreciated. I have been in statonery groups since 1997. Nothing more boring to us who are used to using stationary and HTML than plain text.

Warmly, Nan Martin

I assume your aware Thunderbird doe not execute scripts in messages as a security precaution.

Tools menu > Account settings > composition and addressing and make sure the compose in HTML is turned on.
