Search bar: Double-clicking to select a word doesn't work when I want to change one of the search terms.
When I have done a search, and the search terms are still in the search bar, and I want to change one of the search terms, I used to be able to double-click the word to select it. Since the introduction of the new search bar menu, double-clicking doesn't work. Here's what happens:
1. When I first click in the search bar, all of the text is selected (highlighted) and the popup search menu appears. 2. If I double click on a word, the cursor moves to that spot (like a single click), but the word is not selected. (Also, the menu disappears and reappears.) 3. The only way I can get a double click to select a word is if I first move the cursor by pressing the left/right arrow keys at least twice, but this doesn't always work. (And again, the menu disappears and reappears while I'm doing this.) 4. Disabling all Add-ons made no difference.
I think it's probably a programming error, where the first click is being detected and triggering the popup menu, and somehow preventing a double click from being detected.

Hi FastFwd, I tested this in version 37 and observed this:
- I first clicked on the search, typed in three words and the search menu shows up
- I click to move the cursor to a different part of the phrase and the search menu also popped on and off, until I deselected it.
- I click on the search bar once and the whole phrase is selected. However if I click once, pause, then click twice it selects one word. I can see how this would be annoying, let's file a bug.
@guigs2 -- Thanks. Your workaround with the extra click and pause "works", but I agree that it's a bug and is annoying.
Are you suggesting that I file a bug report, or have you done it already? (I don't know how.)
