Pictures on the Yahoo Home page do not display (see attached) - If I open Yahoo in another browser (IE), then they show up correctly. I have noticed this problem for the last several days and have found no solutions online.

Sometimes the graphic will appear when I hover my mouse over it, but the thumbnail still does not display.

Anybody have any idea what is going on with this Browser?

Windows 7 Home Premium with 4 GB RAM and Firefox 40.0.3

What Anti-Virus security software do you have?

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that has effect.

I am running Avast (the same as I have for the last 3 years).

Running in Safe Mode does not resolve the issue.

Unfortunately, the lack of response indicates that there is no fix for this problem! Is this correct?

Do blocked image(s) show in "Tools > Page Info > Media"?

You can check the Net log and the Network log in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) to see if content fails to load or possibly is blocked (file size is zero).

Use Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.

When I look in Tools>Page Info>Media, the graphics are not blocked When I look in Tools>Web Developer>Network, they show a file size of 0 - so it means the graphics are not loading

What I find really strange is that some of the graphics will load and some will not - with no rhyme or reason.

If I load the same page using IE11, all of the graphics load with no problem, so the issue is not my Internet connection.

I am honestly stumped and frustrated.

If you have Avast then try to disable HTTPS scanning in Avast Web Shield.

Unfortunately, the solution listed in the Avast Forum is not working either and many people are having the same issue.

Do you think switching to (the FREE) AVG Antivirus would resolve this issue?

Did you try to disable all shields in the Avast settings?

Yes, but it still made no difference. Maybe the Free version does not have the option to disable HTTPS Filtering.
