My bookmarks are on my hard drive. How do I restore them to Firefox?
The only address I have is C:/Users/..../Documents/foxbookmarks.html I see that it is an html file, but when I open it, the address bar lists the same hard drive location, not a website.

Did you create this HTML backup yourself?
What content is in the file if you check that in a plain text editor?
Can you post the first few lines?
- Thanks for responding. The saved file on my hard drive, although it has the html extension (C:Documents....bookmarks.html) opens as mentioned in the address bar as a file, not a website despite the html.
Below are the first few lines of the bookmarks file on my hard drive, exactly as it appears. After the 3 headings, they are all active links to the websites, (blue in the doc) it just seems I'll have to open each of the bookmarks, open FFox, & add folders, add each bookmark one by one. 150+ of them. I've already started that nightmare process. Hope this helps you understand the situation.**

Did you inspect the page source?
- Firefox > Web Developer > Page Source
- Tools > Web Developer > Page Source (Ctrl+U)
- right-click on a web page and select View Page Source
If you open the file in a plain text editor then you should see the HTML code.
Alternatively you can open the file in the Firefox Scratchpad (Firefox menu button or Tools > Web Developer).
