Can anyone explain to me why this is happening... Whenever I try to post a comment on someone else's post on Facebook as I type the cursor does not move forward effectively allowing me to type only 1 letter. As I type the previous letters are being overwritten. THis does not happen in chrome or in Dolphin nor does it happen on other websites.

I have had this problem previously and it seemed to of fixed itself, but it is now back, it was nearly 12 months ago it happened last time and the only help I received was from another user I believe and it didn't seem relevent to the issues I am having hwere the hell are you Mozilla? How about supporting the people who support your products and use them? seriously if you call this customer service you have a lot to learn.

Hi mrstuartinoz:

There is no need to be disrespectful. Please be civil or we won't be able to help you in the future.

If you referring to this previous question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1037538 your question was answered by an employee (although our volunteers are equally knowledgeable sometimes more!)

Anyhow Facebook changes their website all the time which breaks Firefox and other software.

In order for us to help you please let us know:

  1. your android tablet or phone make and model
  2. your version of Firefox for Android. We recommend you use the latest Firefox for Android 42 that was released Tue Nov 3
  3. your android operating system version (e.g. lollipop 5, kitkat 4.3 etc)
  4. do you have a 3rd party keyboard like swype installed? sometimes these sorts of things break Firefox
  5. what you did, what happened and what happened. I understand you were simply leaving a Facebook comment but if there are any other details missing please provide them.

Cheers!

My comments were fair and just and not disrespectful, as you can see I am still waiting for support from 2014 in regards to this issue, seriously customer service is lacking big time, terribly sorry if you find honesty disrespectful but I'm telling you how it is for a user of the product and to be threatened with no future support is both unprofessional and unjust.

I'm using a RK 902 which is a RockChip device running android 4.4.2 and everything was fine yesterday but as of this morning I have not been able to do anything at Facebook as outlined in my original requests for support both today and in 2014. if you would like to see a small video of what is happenening look at the user page Stuart Stuart in Facebook where you will find a publicly shared video showing the problem. No auto updates have been installed which normally may cause the problems, since this morning I have updated Firefox after clearing the cache etc but still am having the same issues.

Hi mrstuartinoz

"THis does not happen in chrome or in Dolphin nor does it happen on other websites."

Have you tried asking Facebook support to confirm it's not a known issue since it happens periodically with Firefox and Facebook and doesn't happen with Firefox on other websites?

Cheers!
