How do I uninstall AVG Web Tuneup 2016? It was an an adware popup I've repeatedly ignored in months past. But this time (late June 2016) it auto self-installed. Among other things, it changed my settings in Firefox while out of sight. (But I was able to re-reset them -- including the return of Lightbeam and ad blocker to action.)

Worst of all, this version of AVG Web Tuneup is uninstallable! Not from its own "Uninstall.exe," which does nothing, because its code is a loop-back that does nothing and just loops back repeatedly. Nor using Windows Safe Mode! ("Access to file" denied.) Ditto with other uninstall methods and apps.

Has anyone encountered this same problem (with the latest Web Tuneup version) -- and was able to uninstall it? (Thousands of people on the Web have had the same complaint, even assorted IT managers and administrators. Please don't waste your time looking at pre-2016 responses and explanations. They don't apply in this 2016 case.)

I am running Windows 7, fully patched, on a 2011 Compaq desktop, 3 Gigs of mem and an AMD Athlon 2 Mhz proc.

AVG 15 "free" has been my antivirus protector, but hopefully not much longer. I am VERY concerned about Google's recent dealings with AVG's owners.
