Hi satijask. I understand how frustrating that can be. However, this issue can be difficult to diagnose without details regarding the add-ons/extensions you are running or info about the website you're trying to visit.

This behavior can be indicative that malware may be running on your computer or that an add-on/extension could be hijacking your browser to redirect you to other websites. It's also possible the specific website you're trying to visit could be to blame.

Suggestion #1: Launch Firefox in Safe Mode and see if the issue persists

How to start Firefox in Safe Mode:

  1. Open the 3 bar menu button in the top right corner of Firefox
  2. Click help ? and select Restart with add-ons disabled

If the issue doesn't occur in Safe Mode, then the behavior is likely being caused by an add-on/extension. I've included a link directly below on how to determine which add-on could be the cause.

Troubleshooting extensions

Suggestion #2: Run a malware scan on your computer

If the above suggestion doesn't solve your problem, then it's possible malware may be running on your computer. I recommend downloading Malwarebytes free version and running a scan(link below).

Let us know if this has solved your issue, or if you require additional assistance. If neither of these suggestions solve your problem, then it's possible that it's an issue with the specific website you're trying to visit and we would require more information in order to investigate.
