When I open Thunderbird to access my Gmail I get the message: "Secure connection failed. Start.thunderbird.net uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates. An additional root certificate may need to be imported. Error code: <a id="errorCode"title="SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER">SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER</as" Would appreciate help to resolve this. </p>

Why these folk think they can sign their own certificates defies logic for a firm that says they are about security. I do not trust them and I do not use their products because they break the chain of trust on which SSL /TLS is built.

The law enforcement folk no longer need to break encryption, just subpoena the information from kaspersky and a couple of others as they have access to the unencrypted data in their application and can easily upload it to any site they wish.
