How can I indent part of an e-mail message without an extra line feed being added?
When I compose a message, there are times when I want part of the message to be indented. Clicking the "indent" DOES indent part of the message I want indented, but it also adds a blank line above and below. How can I indent without the blank line being added?

I do not think you can. It is fairly normal for new paragraphs to have some white space between them
Indenting text is used for more than starting a new paragraph.
Other mail composing programs will indent the selected text (to make it stand out like a quoted section or a bulleted list) without adding a blank line. If a User WANTS a blank line, they can add a carriage return.
