my firefox never asks me where I would like to save my documents that downlowd from it. I've set it for so many times. That's so annoying. And it dosen't change after updating.

Click the three horizontal bars at top right, then click Options. On the left click General, and scroll down to Downloads under Files and Applications. Select "Always ask you where to save files".
I've done this for so many times, but it doesn't work.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

The System Details list shows you run an older Firefox 65 version that is no longer supported with security updates.
Please update to the current Firefox 66.0.2 release.
