I installed Thunderbird, checked all setting but Thunderbird does not connect with T-online mail. T-Online securepop-server does not accept the password. I check the password on the Site of T-online (Mail) and got connected and could access my E-Mails. Make sure your Firewall has got Thunderbird as an allowed program otherwise it will not be able to connect to server. Your Firewall may be part of your Anti-Virus product.

When creating the account the 'username' needs to be full email address.
