2 days After the add-on crash, my machine came back to normal for half a day. Since then, no add ons work at all. It is now May 27 and no help in sight.

Remove and reinstall them again. That would be the first thing to do to insure it works again.

Hi Karla50, it looks like this is your first question on the forum, so I'm not sure what happened to you two days ago. What was "the add-on crash" that happened on your system?

One thing that is different in Firefox 67 relates to private windows. Firefox now has a feature like Chrome where you can set extensions to run or not run in private windows. If you use automatic private browsing (where all windows are private windows all of the time), you may want to check those settings on the Add-ons page. Unfortunately, a lot of clicking is involved:

You can view and manage extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions.

Then on the right side, click the title of an extension and you should see its descriptive information followed by a set of form controls. Look for the "Run in private windows" line and, if desired, click Allow.

Then use the Back button and repeat with the next extension on the list.
