This sounds like you run IMAP on both computers. If so, this is exactly the expected behavior.

You'd need to set up your accounts as POP. Doesn't sound like a brilliant idea to me, but it may actually fit your needs. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/faq-changing-imap-pop
