How do I disable "single click selection" in the address bar?
For the longest time, Firefox on Linux would place the text cursor in the address bar after one click, select the word on a double click, and select the whole string on a triple click. A couple updates ago this was changed to selecting the whole string on a single click. I found what should control it is browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll, but that setting was missing, I created it as boolean and set it to false. I then restarted Firefox, but a single click still selects the entire address string. How do I disable this single click to select all function?

Hello
TheJooomes,
We are very sorry to hear this, but follow this steps and instructions , you get your solution.
The top bar of the drop-down is informational: it informs you of what Firefox will do if you submit the contents of the address bar right now.
While it is possible to hide the top bar of the autocomplete drop-down using custom style rules, that wouldn't change the overall behavior of the address bar. For example, to select a suggestion on the drop-down, you would still need to arrow down to (or click) the desired suggestion.
If you want to get rid of the entire drop-down including all the suggestions, there is a way to do that. McCoy has posted this in other threads:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste URLB and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the browser.urlbar.maxRichResults preference to display a dialog where you can modify 10 to 0 (zero) and then click OK
I hope resolve your problem then click choose in solutions.
Thank you
I don't think you understand my issue, maybe this article can explain better: https://www.askvg.com/hack-single-click-select-all-feature-in-mozilla-firefox-addressbar/ The solution in the article doesn't help because browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll doesn't exist in modern day Firefox, that's why I'm asking for help here.

Unfortunately, this feature was removed. I don't know whether anyone has come up with a workaround yet.
