Does it work if you leave tabs open and let sessionstore handle the cookies ?

If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder that stores the cookies got corrupted.

  • rename/remove cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and when present delete cookies.sqlite-shm and cookies.sqlite-wal in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

Hi Valeriu, could you check the settings in the History section, a bit further down the Privacy & Security panel.

(1) Make sure Firefox isn't using automatic private browsing

If your Firefox saves browsing history, you can skip this step.

Either of these will trigger automatic private browsing, which dumps your browsing data including cookies at the end of each session:

  • Firefox will: Never remember history
  • Firefox will: Use custom settings for history + [X] Always use private browsing mode

Those settings are not compatible with retaining selected cookies.

(2) Make sure Firefox isn't clearing cookies at shutdown as part of history

If this setting is not Firefox will: Use custom settings for history, switch to that setting so Firefox displays the details.

If the box is checked for "Clear history when Firefox closes" please click the Settings button to the right of it and make sure that Cookies is NOT checked here. When cookies are cleared by this feature, exceptions are ignored.

Does that all check out okay?

Hi,

Thank you for answer but I've already checked that and both of them are like in the photo.

Profile data can be removed or not recorded in several ways;

  • 1) Running Firefox in Private Mode (nothing is recorded)
  • 2) Privacy settings; (In the address bar, type about:preferences#privacy<enter>)
  • 3) Many disk cleaners and anti-virus type programs can remove data from browsers
Open their settings and have them leave the browsers alone.
  • 4) Mal-ware.

Hello Fred,

I only have this issue with Mozilla and I have this issue since the last Mozilla update.

I also have Chrome and Microsoft Edge and I don't have this problem with them, if it was from antivirus I had to face the same problem with them

I'm not running in Private Mode and no Mal-ware.

Thanks.
