How do I delete emails from the server>
TWO PROBLEMS: 1. I save a lot of emails and move them to folders I have created. I just installed Thunderbird after using Eudora 7.1.9 for over 25 years. In Thunderbird, I "get messages", read them and either move them to a folder for future use or delete them. I close out of Thunderbird, and when I reopen it to "Get messages", I also get emails from the server that I have read and either deleted or moved to folders. When using Eudora, the minute the emails were downloaded to the computer, they were deleted from the server which eliminated that problem. I looked at options and it let you delete messages over so many days or by size. That is dumb. i.e. If I receive 75 emails a day and even if I read them and move them to folders, the next day I will have 150 emails of which 75 have been read, in 10 days there will be 750 emails to download of which I have already read and processed 675. BACK TO MY QUESTION: HOW DO I DELETE ALL EMAILS FROM THE SERVER AS SOON AS I DOWNLOAD THEM TO THUNDERBIRD? 2. I can receive emails, but cannot forward or send. I double checked my SMTP settings and they are correct as noted on Spectrum website. port 587 mail.twc.com password normal SSL/TLS . Thanks, LIN

If the account is POP, the account can be set to delete from the server after download, the default for most POP setups. With IMAP, you would probably create a filter to copy messages to Local Folders and then delete them from the Inbox, which would delete from the server at the next sync.
For the 2nd issue, what is the antivirus and its settings for outgoing mail? AV scanning of outgoing mail (and the TB profile folder) should be disabled.

moving the messages to folders under "Local Folders" solved the problem. Thank you
