Hello. Upgraded to version 102 with Windows 11. Used thunderbird.exe -p to open profile manager. Go to add new profile without issue. Then click on that profile to add email address......and Thunderbird opens again. The program opens each time we add a profile. 3 profiles....Tbird is running 3 times. Our last installation on Win 10 had multiple profiles, each for an individual email address. So couple questions..... 1. How do you add multiple profiles with Tbird running one time? 2. Is there really no way to switch between profiles when it's open? Could adding a profile switcher button be difficult?

Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

I'm not sure why you want a separate profile for each email id, but I'll try to assist. On first question, click help>moretroubleshootinginformation and scroll to profiles, click 'about:profiles', and then click to create new profile. Repeat this process to create multiple profiles. On second question, just do a variation of the answer to first question. You use fewer clicks by creating different desktop shortcut for each profile, adding ' -p "profilename" to target address line.

1. How do you add multiple profiles with Tbird running one time?

You can't. You'd need to start multiple instances of Thunderbird, one for each profile as david described above.

2. Is there really no way to switch between profiles when it's open? Could adding a profile switcher button be difficult?

At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button > Help > More Troubleshooting Information > Profiles > about:profiles. Pick the desired profile - Launch
