configuring Thunderbird
I am installing Thunderbird on my new laptop (Windows 11 Pro). I have used Thunderbird for years on my old Windows 10 machine. I am having difficulty configuring Thunderbird on the new laptop. When I sign in with my email account, it detects the configurations; but when I select 'Done' - it hangs on 'confirming password...'.
I have screen captures of the configuration windows and the configuration requirements from my email provider (shaw.ca); but cannot upload them below (too large?)

Remove password. Let the account be confirmed first. Enter password only when prompted when attempting to first retrieve messages.

Ok...having the exact same problem. Initial installation on a WIN 10 machine. Works fine on my Win 7.
However, it now appears to be BEYOND the confirmation stage.
What to do now?
