When I enter a site in the location bar and press enter, nothing happens. I have to go to sites through the bookmarks or by finding the site on google, then selecting it. Choosing the sites in the history doesn't work either. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, didn't help.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode Don't select anything right now, just use "Continue in SafeMode."
