I need to have a Windows shortcut to FF that opens a specific site
Is it possible to set up a shortcut in Windows that lauches Firefox and opens a specific Web page, bypassing FF's existing home page?

You'll need to add a command line option to the shortcut when launching Firefox.
firefox.exe -url www.mozilla.com
