I went opened up Adobe, clicked on the Help menu and then clicked on Repair Adobe installation. That cleared up the problem for me.

I have the same problem as above but I have an imac G5 11.4.11 When I click on a link that is a pdf file, only a blank white screen appears.

I did the repair process with Adobe but the problem still exists. Not sure how to fix this.

Go to the Control panel and open up add remove programs and uninstall Firefox, and replace it with Google Chrome, end of problems.
The issue is with the way FF handles the security structure of the PDF, to prevent a code exploit, and if they fix it, it opens another one of many more security holes in FF, despite what everyone wants to think it is just as full of holes as IE, and all the others.
Example: Bad bug.exe\.PDF can be built to drop a bug into the print spool when you try to print form your .PDF or even just opening one up, it can run the code without you knowing what is going on until it is too late.

I had a similar problem I downloaded a pdf into Adobe Reader and couldn't print it with Firefox. I saved the pdf. Then I tried to open it with the Adobe reader and got an error message that the file down load was corrupted.
I downloaded the same pdf through Google Chrome .... not a problem it saved and printed fine.
Is this a fundamental problem with Firefox and Adobe pdf downloads? Is there a problem with using Foxit it rather than Adobe?
Thank you. That was exactly the information we needed to be able to open pdf's after we downloaded the latest Firefox update.
