Have had a virus so uninstalled Firefox; now cannot reinstall - says it is already running although I cannot see any trace in Add/delete or Task Mgr

Had a Trojan DNS changer; Was running Avast. Ran Antispyware, CCleaner and thought I got it cleaned up. Am now running AVG.

Uninstalled Firefox to see if that was part of the problem but now I cannot reinstall - says already running; reboot computer to close. Have rebooted endless times and no change.

By the way - still getting redirects on IE.
