pkcs12 on Firefox is broken
I am running Firefox 12.0. It is not able to import the p12 files which wasn't a problem on the older versions or IE.
The p12 file I am using is from a certificate test suite from the department of defense. and the file works fine on IE.
For different p12 files, the error message is either:
PKCS#12 operation failed for unknown reasons
or
Failed to decode the file. Either it is not in PKCS#12 format, has been corrupted, or the password you entered was incorrect.
This seems a major feature defect, or backward compatibility problem. Is there a quick fix/patch for this?

Hi binlu,
Is there a link to a public page where you got this file? I've talked to some Firefox developers who would like to reproduce the issue and run the file thru some tests.
Also I know you said the .p12 file wasn't a problem on older versions of Firefox. But the devs would like to know specifically what was the last version of Firefox the .p12 file was working on? They're thinking you might of been on 3.6.x since they aren't seeing any huge changes in between Firefox 11 and 12.

Perform the suggestions mentioned in the following articles:
- Clear Cookies & Cache
- Clear the Network Cache
- Make sure that you are using the "Remember History" setting as described in this article -> Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track
- Start Firefox in -> Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if your add-ons/extension are causing the problems.
- Also see this article -> Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
Check and tell if its working.
May not be related to your problem but some of your Firefox Plugins are out-dated, so you need to Update them.
-> Update All your Firefox Plugins by visiting the following link:
- When Downloading Plugins setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, etc.)
I really do not remember which version it worked earlier. I tested it on both IE and Firefox long time ago. And just recently I tried it on 11.0 and it failed, so I upgraded it to 12.0, still no luck.
The DoD test suite was downloaded from a public site, but it was long time ago, could not remember the link. I can send you some files for your testing if you could let me know where to send to.
Thanks. Please send the files to *Hidden for safety* or upload to http://www.sendspace.com/ if any size problems occur with attaching files to the email.
