with the new upgrade, they have a new thing with grouping tabs.... I don't use it. But when I start out on a tab, then open another, the first one disappears from the bar...I keep having to open a new tab & re-type the url to get back there. if I get to the screen where they are grouped in boxes, I can never re-open the tab, it just pops big for a second & then goes back small inside the box. I then have to restart program to get out of this screen. how do I turn this feature off because it is really annoying to have to re-type in my web address to "go back" to my facebook page, for example?...

Does that happen in Firefox safe mode? If it does not, the problem might be caused by an extension.

Does it work if you use tab navigation key like "Ctrl + Page Down" or "Ctrl+1" to "Ctrl+8" to go to a specific tab?

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
