When I am on Facebook in the new version of Firefox, my messages page comes up as a blank screen. Chat won't work either and the Edit drop-downs never load. It just keeps showing the loading symbol. Youtube videos won't play on Facebook either, which isn't as big of a deal. The videos play fine actually on Youtube though.

I've updated my computer, Firefox, and all of my add-ons, but the problem won't go away. Everything works fine in Safari; however, Safari isn't as secure as Firefox so I'd really rather not have to use it all the time.

If you have any idea what the problem might be and/or possible solutions, please let me know. Thank you.

I certainly know that Facebook made changes to their layouts. Have you tried clearing cache and cookies?

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.
