each time I open firefox I am required to log into my att/yahoo account. How do I save my log on info as my home page to avoid this time consuming process. I try to save myyahoo home page as my home page but each time I close firefox and re-open it requires the log on.

It looks that you are running Firefox in Private Browsing mode (never remember history) and in that case all cookies are session cookies that expire automatically.

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.

  • Create an Allow cookie exception to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing mode (Never Remember History).

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
