My address bar and google search bar is missing.
I double clicked something at the top of my browser and then my address and Google search bars disappeared and I have no idea how to get them back and this is my school computer and I really need these bars back!

If you right-click a blank area of the tab bar (or the "+" button on the tab bar) you should be able to turn individual bars back on from the list. Does that work?
Edit: Forgot to mention that the main bar with the address and search bars is called the Navigation Toolbar.

hello btr_is_my_life1010, maybe you're in full screen mode - you can press F11 in order to toggle it off/on again...
Um... It doesn't really help.. This is a screenshot of my screen..

Alternately, if you are unable to right-click, you can use
View menu > Toolbars
to turn the display of different bars on and off.
When the update 29.0.1 was added, the search bar disappeared. I checked the add-ons and it shows it installed and activated, but it still doesn't show. I hope they fix that. It's an excellent feature
Hi min7th, Firefox has a built-in search bar, too, that you should find on the main navigation toolbar. I'm not sure which add-on you are using for an additional search bar. Can you mention which one it is?
Also, you could check the Customize dialog and see whether the bar is there, and then you could drag it to your preferred location.
- "3-bar" menu button > Customize
Perhaps I'm calling it something it isn't. I got the name from the Monzilla forum. At the right side of the address bar (URL), attached to the address bar, there was a small window that had a few links available, such as Amazon Wikipedia, Ebay, etc. It only showed the one you wanted. And, if you wanted to change it, you click the Icon of the default one and a drop down window would open and show the other links were available. I've been using it for months.
I did try one thing and that was to down load Firefox again. I think I downloaded Version 26. After doing that the little link window was back! Then after the auto-update for Firefox started and finished the update, the "link window" was gone.
I hope that was a better explanation.

Hi min7th, the search bar should still be there in Firefox 29. (See screen shot)
If it isn't there and can't be found in Customize, or if it appears to be damaged, you could try clearing the old settings file that stores toolbar customizations, in case it conflicts with the new way that information is stored.
Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- Help menu > Troubleshooting Information
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
- File menu > Exit
Pause while Firefox finishes its cleanup, then rename localstore.rdf to something like localstore.old
Start Firefox back up again. Any improvement in the search bar?
Sorry, I can't find any references to "Firefox profile" or settings, and I click on every button that it has. Maybe it's just too obvious. Can you give me another clue? :)
I found it! Thank you so much for your time on this issue. You're a good man Charlie Brown.
