Scrolling with a touch pad does not work. The icon of the scrolling appears, but a page does not scroll.

Reinstalling Firefox doesn't help. When I restart the browser - it works for several minutes, but then scrolling stops working.

Hope, you know how to solve that! Thank you in advance!

For two-finger scrolling, past threads have suggested disabling "Smooth Scrolling" in the options.

Firefox menu > Preferences > Advanced > General mini-tab

Uncheck the box for "Use smooth scrolling"

There also seem to be some issues specific to Mavericks, particularly with the disappearing vertical scroll bar:

Since upgrading to 29.0 and then to 29.0.1, two finger scrolling stops working after a couple of minutes and have to exit Firefox completely to re-enable it. I have had no past experience with any the previous versions for the last 2 years. Also effects extensions.

Unchecking of "Use smooth scrolling" made no effect

Current Setup: Macbook Pro, Mac OS X v10.9.2 Firefox: v29.0.1

Hi cunliffe, could I suggest starting a new question and in the question use a more specific title than the one on this thread (for example, "Two-finger scrolling on Mac in Firefox 29 stops working"). Hopefully that will draw some Mac users to take a look. You can start here (scroll down, ahem, past the suggestions): https://support.mozilla.org/questions/new/desktop/other

Or if you've solved it, it would be great to hear back on how you did it.
