Trying to set Thunderbird up as an email client (my situation requires apps for Mac and Android), but I cannot get any accounts to take.

It finds my server settings, which align with the instructions I have from those servers, but credentials then fail ("Login to account XXXXXX failed"). I'm logging in on other clients or web with the same credentials with no problem.

Thunderbird version 128.6.1esr (MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1)
