Reloaded Win 8.1 in "save your user files" mode. Downloaded TBird afresh and want to find old inbox/sent items/address book history and link back in to new copy of TBird.

Do you have a backup copy of the profile? If not, I think you are out of luck. The program directory is not where user data is stored.

When you get a new profile, if you look at Troubleshooting Information from the Help menu, you can find out where the profile is, and make a backup copy of it from that location.
