Is there a way to get Firefox to point to the same file after an attachment is attached to an email? I am looking for work and to attach my resume to the email Firefox always starts on the desktop and then I have to click a couple of times to get to my resume file. Unlike Chrome which keeps that file as the place to start when you do your next attachment Firefox reverts right back to the desktop. In summary I am wondering if there is a setting that will allow Firefox to remember where the last attachment was found and continue to return to this same destination each time an attachment is needed?

Hi mulfred2001,

In Windows 8 I believe this is a system default. If I try to add an attachement to a gmail compose the same directory opens when I click the attach button However if I go to a new website the file upload will go back to the default home directory.

Please update your flash player and Firefox to version 30. Please post back with results.

What steps are you taking where you are seeing the directory is different?
