My email server lost my password, fixed it, but T'bird doesn't seem to fix it. How to repair?

Email suddenly quit working. Called Roadrunner. They gave me a new password and said I would be able to change it. The new password is hellacious, but works. I changed it to my previous PW which email accepts, BUT I have to enter it every session. Did not previously have to do that. Apparently RR accepts new PW, but email does not.

Have you deleted any stored passwords?

I think if Thunderbird has more than one password stored for a given email account, it won't know which one to use so offers none of them.

Go to Tools|Options|Security|Passwords|Saved Passwords and delete/remove all occurrences of the unwanted password(s). Use the filter box at the top to locate relevant accounts - you may need to do this on both incoming (POP/IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) settings.
