No audio tracks on bandcamp.com will play. I have read other threads about this issue, but none of the solutions posted in them work for me. Every other site I have tried works fine. Youtube, vimeo, soundcloud, these all work fine. Flash players on other sites work fine, HTML5 players on other sites work fine. I have tried disabling addons, and I have tried safe mode. I have disabled sound effects in my Windows playback devices configurations. It is still only bandcamp.com that doesn't work. Bandcamp.com plays audio normally in other browsers.

When I click to play an album in bandcamp, it shows the spinning logo for about half a second, then doesn't play anything and skips to the next song. It repeats showing the spinning logo, then skips to the next song again. It repeats this until it has tried every song on the list, then stops. I am running Windows 8.1 64-bit.

I found the solution on this page:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/999164

I disabled the following two settings on about:config

  • media.windows-media-foundation.enabled
  • media.directshow.enabled

Then I was able to play tracks on Bandcamp. Strange that this only affected Bandcamp and no other sites.

Hello Eklinaar Start the Firefox in safe mode to check if any extension or plugins are making an issue. Or you can use Navigational Sounds ad on to rectify the problem. Hope it will work
