The mac version is using the 'pair a device' method whereby a code needs to be generated and entered within the master browser.

The windows version is requesting I sign into an account.

The 2 methods are different and so at the moment I cannot sync my new windows browser with the original mac browser.

Please help, Thanks.

Is there a specific reason why you have made changes to some security prefs and have disabled OCSP and TLS 1.1 and above?

  • security.OCSP.enabled: 0
  • security.tls.version.max: 1

You can try to remove the Weave folder in the Firefox profile folder and delete the prefs.js file to reset all prefs and maybe also delete the compatibility.ini file to reinitialize the profile.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

Sounds like the Mac is setup to use the old version of Sync, and Sync needs to be updated.

Thanks the-edmeister,

This doesn't solve my problem.

There is no option to log into firefox account from the Mac it is still referring to the older version of Sync whereas the windows browser is using the newer version of Sync.
