Something I did accidentally (I think) caused the open window tabs at the bottom of the screen to move to a sidebar arrangement. How do I restore this?

How do I reset these tabs to appear at the bottom of the screen? I notice that when I expand the width of the sidebar all of my desktop icons get scrambled to different locations and I have to manually put them back where they were .

You should be able to drag the Windows Task bar back to its position at the bottom of the screen. Best is to lock the Task bar via the right-click context menu to avoid such an accidental move.
